Aurelio ‘Tano’ Alfaro Rodríguez

Hometown: Cuidad Mante, Tamaulipas
Lives in: Poblado Francisco Munguía
Aurelio goes by the nickname “Tano”. For the past six years he has been working on habitat restoration projects on the Colorado River. He enjoys birding and sharing his knowledge from the field with others. In his free time he likes working on cars, and he loves to eat “carnitas” (pork cooked in the Michoacán style).
