Hometown: Estación Cohauila

Estela Félix participated in the SJV Bird Guide Program and other birding tourism workshops. She enjoys birding, talking with people, and sharing her knowledge of the region. She enjoys taking care of things around her house and her favorite food is pozole. Estela is part of the Sonoran Institutes restoration team and works to grow and plant native trees and shrubs to improve the Colorado River Delta for birds and other wildlife.

Additional training:

  • Estela is in the process of receiving state-level certifications as a tourism guide. She also has First Aid certification.
